Boivin, René

René BoivinRené Boivin (1864-1917) opens his workshop in 1890. Around 1910 he changes his style which becomes much more artistic. He dies far too young but his wife -she is the sister of fashion designer Paul Poiret- continues the new style. Toghether with designers as Suzanne Belperron and Juliette Moutard the house produces high end designer jewellery. Maybe the fact that all these female talents worked together makes that the jewellery by the house of Boivin is still much respected and in demand worldwide.
