Pavan, Francesco

Francesco Pavan

Francesco Pavan (Padua 1937) was first educated at and later became professor at the Istituto Statale d’Arte Pietro Selvatico, also known as “The Padua School”. This art school is famous for the balance between art and technique. Against the general opinion both these disciplines were educated here together and therefore the students were more than capable to make their own designs: they were both artist and goldsmith. Francesco Pavan is one of the most influential teachers and designers of this Padua School.
