Fulco di Verdura

Fulco di Verdura (1898 – 1978) is also known as “America’s Crown Jeweler”. This Italian duke started his career as textile designer for Coco Chanel in 1927. She recognized his real talent and made him head jewellery designer. For her he designed the iconic Maltese Cross Cuff bracelets. In 1939 he opened his own gallery in New York. He died in 1978 but the house still exists and even now the designs are inspired by the ideas of the founder: bold and colourful but also chic and timeless.
