Andrew Grima (1921-2007) was the son of an Italian mother and Maltese father. He was an engineer but his father-in-law introduced him into his jewellery business in London. His talents soon were recognised and he became one of the most fashionable jewellery designers of the 1970’s. His work was very popular with British socialites and royalty but is nowadays searched for worldwide. The jewels are loved for the artistic use of gemstones and minerals and for his audacious translation of the 1970’s spirit into jewellery.
