Lalaounis

Ilias Lalaounis (1920-2013) starts working as an apprentice in his father’s workshop. In 1969 he opens his own business and his designs are strongly influenced by ancient Greek art. His name is also internationally established when Aristotle Onassis purchases Lalaounis jewellery for Maria Callas and Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. Since 1998, in the Lalaounis Museum in Athens, Greece, the history of the company can be seen, as well as exhibitions about jewellery in the widest sense.
