Kutchinsky

Kutchinsky history Marjan Sterk Fine Art Jewellery

The jewellery house Kutchinsky was founded in the late 19th century in Poland, but settled permanently in London in 1893 after the family fled due to political unrest. In 1928, the house opened a store in London’s East End and found success with the production of platinum and diamond jewellery. After the Second World War, Kutchinsky moved to the upscale district of Knightsbridge. Under the leadership of Joseph ‘Joe’ Kutchinsky, the brand grew into a beloved name among the international elite, known for its extravagant designs featuring colorful gemstones. In the 1970s, they created jewellery in the style of that time: organic forms with contrasting colored stones—pieces that remain highly sought after to this day.
